PC, Windows 7 Pro 64, Pro Tools LE 8.0.4, Contour ShuttlePro v2 with driver version 2.7. If anyone has a fix for the second issue, I may hold onto this device, otherwise, it's back in to box and out the door.

Pro Tools 8.0.4 has some issue recognising the ShuttlePro v2, at least for me.It is then recommended to remove the settings. The ShuttlePro only reproduces keystrokes, so the scrubbing feature that I and others have hoped for just will not work. Open the Contour Shuttle Device Configuration tool from the Start menu. Two key problems worth putting in one spot here:

Now, I am not in the habit of reinstalling drivers every day just to get it to work. Reinstalled the drivers, and it worked again.

MYOB did, Outlook did, Firefox did, Windows Explorer did, but not Pro Tools. Not my favourite thing in the world, but all OK after that.ĭay 3, once again, Pro Tools wouldn't recognise the ShuttlePro. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it was OK. Then on the beginning of day 2, I started up Pro Tools (8.0.4) and I couldn't get the ShuttlePro to work. So at the end of day 1, I was a little disappointed, but feeling pretty happy still about my purchase. What is also great, as a business owner, is that I can use it in other programs like MYOB, where one button creates an invoice, another creates a journal entry, etc. What I really found handy though are all the buttons - I assigned heaps of essentials that require a couple of keys at once (Ctrl-S and so on) to buttons, and even made some macros (arm track and record - sweet!) You’ll note in the book that I particularly like the Contour ShuttlePro v2 for a speedy Develop workflow. Maybe in recent years that functionality disappeared somehow. In another thread, user magicm says he got it to work but I have no idea how. I ended up using the inner wheel to zoom in and out, and the outer wheel to fast forward/rewind. These macros can be executed either all at once, or step by step, giving ShuttlePRO V.2 users much more control over their applications.I got a ShuttlePro v2 the other day and immediately was disappointed by the inability to scrub with the wheel. With Key Composer, users can now assign multiple keystroke combinations, or macros, to execute from a single button on the ShuttlePRO V.2. You can also use the jog and shuttle for many other purposes such as scrolling, volume control, and sequencing. The outer black ring or 'shuttle' is rubberized and spring-loaded.

The inner ring or 'jog' rotates through 360 degrees and provides precision frame by frame control. Nine (9) of the buttons have removable keycaps for easy labeling and referencing. The ShuttlePRO V.2 is designed for ergonomic integrity and maximizing productivity, allowing one-hand access to the fully programmable buttons and jog/shuttle knob. You can also easily customize the ShuttlePRO V.2 for virtually any application. The ShuttlePRO V.2 even comes pre-configured for many of the leading Audio and Video applications. The ShuttlePRO V.2 is a powerful productivity enhancement tool for video and audio editors. in short, the perfect marriage of form and function. Sleek innovative design, pre-configured for many of today's popular applications, advanced programmability, and ease of use. Multi-button Jog & Shuttle Multimedia Control Surface
